Yola Dabrowski has previously attended a wellness hiking experience at the Ashram Resort and conferences hosted by relationship and communication expert Alison Armstrong.

Best known for her workshop Celebrating Men, Satisfying Women, Alison Armstrong has improved how millions of women communicate with their male partners. According to Armstrong, men are only able to open up fully if they feel their partner is a safe conversation partner. Women can make this space for their partners by avoiding loaded questions and allowing time for their partners to formulate their responses.

Waiting at least 30 seconds in between conversation pauses can encourage men to go deeper into a subject. Further intimacy can be reached if women refrain from judging their partners’ opinions. If disagreements arise, it’s more productive to understand the values that underlie these opinions.
