Functional Endocrinology and Hormonal Imbalance
An experienced chiropractor and community volunteer, Yola Dabrowski graduated from the University of Michigan and Palmer College of Chiropractic. Yola Dabrowski has attended seminars on functional endocrinology to learn more about the topic.
Hormones are the body’s chemical messengers. Formed in the endocrine glands, hormones manage body processes such as reproduction and metabolism. A hormonal imbalance means that there is too little or too much of a particular hormone.
General endocrinology concentrates on hormone replacement with medications and surgery. However, functional endocrinology uses the body’s normal reaction to exercise and diet supplements to stabilize hormonal activity.
Functional endocrinology has advantages because it identifies an imbalance in the body through symptoms instead of waiting for the endocrine system to develop an unwell state. Functional endocrinology uses a patient’s medical history and saliva and sugar test results to create a nutritional regimen.
The practice has successfully relieved patients of hormonal symptoms that include fatigue, depression, infertility, epilepsy, adrenal disorders, menopause, and low libido. Functional endocrinology is also safer and more effective than drugs and hormone replacement therapy.
