The Tony Robbins Rapid Planning Method
Following several research assistant roles at the University of Michigan, Yola Dabrowski began working as an independent project management consultant. As a reflection of her interest in business and personal development, Yola Dabrowski has attended seminars hosted by business strategist and motivational speaker Tony Robbins.
One of Tony Robbins’s most influential productivity concepts is the Rapid Planning Method (RPM). Rather than focusing solely on completing tasks, RPM considers the emotional and psychological aspects of goal-setting. The five-step process begins with brainstorming all of the desired results, and the values that underlie these outcomes. Related goals should be categorized together.
The next step considers what specific actions need to be taken to achieve the previously listed end results. These actions are then prioritized and scheduled. As the schedule is followed and objectives are completed, progress should be tracked and measured. This period is ideal for identifying bottlenecks and putting time management protocols in place.
Finally, celebrating the completion of milestones is key to staying motivated and recognizing accomplishments.
